
Senior Manager Business Finance

ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM
This role involves leadership in partnering with the organization’s stakeholders to enable strategic decision-making, optimize financial performance, and drive sustainable, profitable growth. The Senior Finance Manager will leverage a deep understanding of the partner’s business models and financial drivers to provide advanced data-driven analytics, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities that are translated into actionable insights and strategies to meet the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities include leading driver-based financial modeling, supporting the overall planning processes (forecast, budget, 3YP), and spearheading continuous improvement and transformation projects to enhance financial tools and operational workflows.
This role demands a proactive leadership approach to ensure that financial activities are both agile and effective, aligned with the strategic objectives of the partner organization and Business Finance at large.
This role combines expert financial management with strategic business insight and emphasizes strong leadership in guiding the finance team and influencing key business decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Data Analytics and Insights:
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for optimization and growth.
- Develop and deliver actionable insights to the Business Unit stakeholders to support decision-making and drive financial performance.
- Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to extract meaningful information and create visualizations for effective communication.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data quality and accuracy, automation.
Forecasting and Modeling:
- Collaborate with the stakeholders to develop accurate financial forecasts, leveraging historical data, market trends (P*Q)
- Develop financial models, to evaluate different scenarios, assess risks, and support strategic planning initiatives.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor the financial performance of the partner organization against key performance indicators and business driver’s relevant metrics and associated targets/other benchmarks. (i.e., productivity metrics such as Service catalogues, unit costs type of information)
- Provide regular and ad-hoc financial reports to the Business Unit stakeholders, highlighting performance trends and areas for improvement.
Business Insights and Recommendations:
- Collaborate with the partner organization stakeholders to understand their financial needs and provide proactive insights and recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to address specific business challenges and opportunities.
Business Unit Partnering: Business Case Preparation and Investment Board Approvals:
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive business cases for investments and product initiatives (internal funding / M&A), aligning with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Ensure an ROI-focused mindset in the business case development, emphasizing the capability to build solid, realistic, achievable, measurable, and stress-tested financial models.
- Work cross-functionally with pricing, product teams, and other transversal functions to gather relevant data and inputs for the business case.
- Present and defend business cases to the Investment Board, providing a compelling rationale for investment decisions.
- Post-approval, collaborate with stakeholders to conduct product performance reviews, tracking actual ROI against projected outcomes & drive action plans.
- Lead integration plans post M&A signature
GEO's:
- Provide commercial insight and support to the sales and commercial organization in growing the business through key / strategic opportunities
- Delegate of the BAB chairman, acting as Chair the GEO Business Approval Board, ensuring collective decision and responsibilities and provide financial solutions to GEO business challenges
- Oversee management reporting cycle (reporting, analysis, forecasting, budgeting)
- Manage CFO and CEO performance management presentation production
- Recommend monthly key focus areas to understand and / or drive performance and come with the business story behind the numbers
- Driver cross-functional margin improvement
FPA
- Representing Corporate finance and being the CFO office partnering with the various finance organizations (from accounting to business finance). Driving, reporting and planning financial performance, consolidating the insights from the various organizations and business to make comprehensive story, analysis and status as well as facilitating decision making process for the upper management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other functional teams within Finance (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Business Finance, Pricing, Business performance and other key stakeholders) to ensure alignment and consistency in financial data and insights.
- Partner with Data Science and IT teams to leverage advanced analytics tools and technologies.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, business management, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field of study
- Membership of a relevant Finance/Accounting accreditation body is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in financial analysis, controlling business intelligence, or data analytics, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Proven track record of delivering actionable insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Experience in using data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to communicate complex data findings.
- People management in an international environment
- Interacting at senior management level
- Experience in delegation in particular exercising good judgement between personal involvement and delegation (zoom in/out)
