Foreman/Cooling Technician - Antwerp

Equans is looking for a Cooling Foreman (Industrial Electricity) for the Antwerp branch. As a Brigadier, you are responsible for assembling and installing new or existing refrigeration installations.

You are coaching, directing, assisting and motivating a team of refrigeration technicians.

This specifically involves the following tasks:

• you prepare the assignment and the place where the installation should be located and plan the different tasks for your own personnel and subcontractors (study of the execution folder, work schedules, technical documentation …)
• you check if all materials are present, you provide the tools, you take care of the necessary permits and documents
• you coach, motivate and direct a team of your own assistant fitters and you also monitor the timing of the tasks to be performed
• you are also the point of contact for the customer on site. You inform the customer about the progress of the work in consultation with the Project Manager
• the necessary preparatory tasks are carried out (placing suspension systems, brazing, welding, bending, applying press fitting, screw thread connections …)
• you report directly to the Project Manager

• you have the necessary knowledge and experience in assembling refrigeration components
• you are able to read and understand refrigeration diagrams (electrical, P&ID)
• you work meticulously and have good organizational skills
• you have a sense of responsibility and you work safety conscious
