Then be sure to read on! As a Field Application engineer you go through an intensive process that largely consists of on-the-job training. You can work both in Service and Commissioning (projects). You will first follow along with an experienced colleague. This way you get to know the business, our customers, and our portfolio in depth. Gradually you become more and more independent, and you actively apply your technical knowledge.

Your tasks evolve in function of your experience and technical knowledge. It varies daily and looks broadly like this:

  • Both corrective and preventive maintenance of the field equipment and workstations, to ensure system availability at our customers.
  • Your analytical and problem-solving skills allow you to be the driving force behind maintainingkeeping up to date and renewing the installations at the customer's premises.
  • Realization of extensions and modernizations on the subsystems as well as the integrations with other systems.
  • Performing software updates or upgrades in line with the project or the contractual agreement with the customer.
  • As your experience grows, you can also be used in projects.
  • Provide user training of the system to the customer.
  • Checking all technical files and, if necessary, having adjustments made by the engineering team.
