Chef at Hardangerviddahallen Restaurant
Can you imagine a future for you - and possibly your family in Eidfjord - an important part of the tourist destination Hardangerfjord/Norway? We are looking for a chef working in the summer season, starting on 01 of April 2025 until 31. October and gain experience in our restaurant. You have the possibility for a permanent year-round position for the Hardangerviddahallen restaurant from 2025 with payed holiday in the off season.
Hardangerviddahallen Restaurant is a modern restaurant and cafe where up to 200 guests can enjoy Norwegian food traditions combined with modern cuisine. The restaurant offers À la carte menu, buffet, group menu, and event menu. The kitchen is operating with one head chef and two chefs in the season.
· Education/diploma as a chef
· Experience from similar work
· Time and cost oriented
· Speak English and/or Norwegian
· Manage the restaurant with the head chef
· Good teamwork with other departments in the center
· Work according to IK mat/HACCP routines
· You are professionally skilled and can deliver a high-quality culinary experience
· Have pastry experience
· You are interested in local food culture
· You are responsible, outcome-oriented and reliable
· You can work independently as well as in a team
· You are flexible regarding work tasks
· You enjoy a hectic and international working environment
· Good salary and pension by agreement
· Offer vacation and leisure off season over the mandatory law
· Help with accommodation
