Department’s Tasks:

• conducting the proceedings to verify the fact of having Polish citizenship
• conducting the proceedings to obtain Polish citizenship by the individuals who are married to a Polish citizen and receiving applications to grant Polish citizenship by the President of the Republic of Poland
• conducting the proceedings concerning repatriation
• conducting the affairs related to legalization of residence of foreigners within the territory of the Republic of Poland, and particularly granting a permit for temporary and permanent residence, extending visa validity, issuing invitations
• conducting the affairs related to legalization of residence of the citizens of the European Union states, the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation as well as of the members of their families within the territory of the Republic of Poland
