We are looking for seasonal workers who enjoy outdoor work for strawberry picking in Siilinjärvi, Northern Savonia. We grow strawberries in open fields, and picking takes place in all weather conditions. In addition to strawberries, we also grow peas. The work is physically demanding, so it requires good physical fitness. We also require a minimum age of 16 and basic skills in English or Russian.
You don’t need prior experience in picking work, as we provide training to our employees. Please bring your own rain gear. A driver’s license and your own car are considered advantages. It’s possible to use the farm’s car for transportation (both for work and leisure) for a fee.
Work is done for 40 hours per week, six days a week. Workdays are focused on mornings. A typical day starts at 5.00 AM and lasts approximately 6-8 hours. We pay according to the collective agreement for agriculture sector, based on piecework. The season starts as early as the end of June and lasts approximately 4-7 weeks. We provide accommodation for all our employees in shared housing. The accommodation fee is 5,07 € per day.
