Stibo Systems QA Engineer
Do you have an eye for both the business and technology? Are you motivated by working with enterprise software applied by some of the largest companies in world? If so, this may just be the job for you.
“We are searching for a QA engineer to join one of our development teams. The team is working on advanced modern high-performance technology running in the cloud. The responsibilities of the new QA are split between manual and automated tests, but main focus is to write automated tests” says Jens Arnold Hem, SVP, R&D.
The role
As a QA Engineer you will:
- ensure that our software meets customer expectations working in small, cross-functional teams collaborating closely with business stakeholders, product managers, architects, developers & QA engineers across the global R&D sections,
- develop and execute manual and automated regression, integration, and performance test scripts based on user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- be an advocate of quality in every phase of the development process
- find, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
This is your Team
You will become part of a team consisting of a product owner, a software architect, 2-3 developers, and associated UX specialists and tech writers. Our process follows the agile mindset based on Scrum extended with SAFe for being able coordinate and scale activities across the entire R&D department. In R&D, typically 15 development teams are running in parallel in agile release trains.
“Our MDM products span across multiple domains handling data related to product, customer records, locations, suppliers, among others. The variety of use cases, the complexity and volume of data, and the challenge providing decent UX and workflows for the personas supposed to work with our products ensures that you will always have existing and motivating tasks to deal with allowing you to constantly evolve both business and technology wise” explains Jens Arnold Hem.
Technologies
Our products all run in a Cloud enabled technology stack (Azure/AWS). Test frameworks are Selenium, Cypress, TestComplete, Jest, and JMeter. Regression tests are being written in Java and JavaScript. For integration testing REST and GraphQL based APIs are heavily used.
Who we are looking for
We are searching for a person who is structured and thorough. You need to have an eye for both understanding the business and understanding the technology. You need to have a testing mind-set, so your intuition often tells you where bugs may be lurking when something new has been developed. As a person, you have a positive and constructive attitude. You are a team player, who gets energy from working with others.
Moreover, you:
- Probably have a university degree in computer science or software engineering
- Have an interest in test automation of web and API interfaces for data-rich applications
- Have a natural interest in keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest technologies, and thriving on being in an innovative environment.
- Speak and write English well
