Job Description
As part of its expansion plans, Innuos is looking for a talented Software Development Engineer to join the team working on the innuOS platform. The Software Development Engineer will focus on developing features for the innuOS server back-end component, providing further features and integrating 3rd party applications and services. The Software Development Engineer will work together with the R&D director for defining the scope and requirements of the platform and will be responsible for the successful implementation and testing of specific features of the platform, ensuring the product will provide an amazing user experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively contribute with new ideas and features for the platform throughout the development lifecycle;
- Develop, test and document new features for the platform;
- Manage the integration of open source and 3rd party software into the platform;
- Provide 2nd level customer support to resolve any reported bugs.
Required Attributes and Competencies
- Degree in Software Engineering or similar;
- Extensive Python knowledge and experience;
- Excellent object-oriented modelling techniques and software design;
- Experience with working with GIT version control systems and JIRA;
- Experience with Agile development processes;
- Experience with testing tools and techniques;
- Extensive knowledge of the Linux platform and scripting;
- Excellent spoken and written English skills.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience with testing tools and techniques;
- Experience in designing and developing UX/UI;
- Knowledge of Hi-Fi Computer Audio;
- Friendly with customers and partners for both pre and post-sales queries;
- Pro-active, natural problem-solver and a great team player;
- Focus and dedication to meet Agile Sprint deadlines;
- Passionate for Hi-Fi music.
