As a Site Supervisor you are responsible for the high quality and efficient execution and follow-up of one (or more) project(s). You will be responsible for directing, coordinating, monitoring and adjusting all activities from site preparation up to completion. To achieve this you work closely with a team of colleagues (Project Management, Foremen and Workers) while also managing subcontractors.
Your remit:
- You determine the site's needs in terms of short- and medium-term staff deployment and lead the personnel carrying out the work
- You monitor construction planning and frequently consult with the Project Manager concerning any non-compliances
- You check the quality and the dimensioning of the work carried out
- You ensure that everyone on-site correctly complies with all safety rules
- Together with the Project Manager you liaise with the construction team (client, architect, engineering office) and attend the site meetings
- You are responsible for managing deliveries, construction materials and equipment on site
- Under the internal management system you also assist in monitoring the quality, safety and environmental agreements
- You are also not deterred from carrying out the necessary administrative tasks
- You are a qualified Civil Engineer or equivalent by experience;
- You have a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, ideally with a Class 8 contractor
- You can work well with current MS Office applications; experience with drawing programs is a plus
- You attach great importance to the quality of the work and follow guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- You speak fluent English and can work with the most common MS Office applications;
- You have an eye for quality, safety and the environment
- You are a highly driven team player, able to successfully complete assignments in an independent manner;
- You have strong communication skills, the necessary assertiveness and a willingness to listen
