The Sheraton Athlone Hotel, part of the Hodson Bay Group, is now recruiting for Senior Bartender to join our team in our S Bar & Bistro.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years Bartender experience preferably from a Hotel or Gastro pub/Bistro. You will enjoy interacting with guests and being part of a team works together to provide our guests with a positive and memorable experience. You should also have the ability to work well under pressure and still maintain a warm friendly and efficient service. You will be energetic, customer focused and should possess excellent communication skills.

As part of the Bar management team, the role will involve the day to day management of the bar to ensure that stock control measures adhered to, create drink promotions etc. You will lead and motivate the Bar team to deliver outstanding levels of service at all times.

Duties will include:

  • Present and serve drinks and cocktails according to agreed standards
  • Provide excellent guest care in food and beverage service
  • Ensure products are presented for payment according to agreed standards
  • Observe and follow HACCP standards
  • Maximise revenue through upselling and promotion initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be responsible for training for new and existing staff
  • Excellent customer service

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in the Irish Hotel Bar drink standards & Cocktail Experience essential
