Job Description

 

Maintenance Operations provides Sales Support, Contract Management, and Systems & Reporting services in support of the lifecycle management of EMC's maintenance business. Through Sales Support, Maintenance Operations deploys all maintenance renewal opportunities to Inside Sales. Within Sales Support, the Tech Refresh services provide audit configuration, by re-quoting the configuration with software and hardware, supplying revised quotes for Inside Sales. With Contract Management, Maintenance Operations books service maintenance contracts for EMC's commercial, enterprise, and partner accounts, support life-cycle management, and manages customer support. Through the Systems and Reporting offerings, Maintenance Operations is able to support acquisition management, as well as new product launching and training.

 

  • Manage a group of Managers, Supervisors, Specialists, Sr. Analysts, and Analysts to maintain, drive and execute the maintenance renewal activities within the Global Business Services Maintenance Contract Operations group.
  • Handles all traditional managerial functions including, but not limited to, Time and Attendance, Annual Compensation Review, Year-End performance evaluations, work load scheduling and performance management.
  • Works in conjunction with the supervisor, manager and director of the group to hire new employees.
  • Provides direct feedback to the director on the organization's performance, assists all assigned resources in diagnosing, escalating and resolving complex problems.
  • Manages multiple complex projects and/or programs impacting business goals and objectives.
  • Leads cross-functional team(s) and subject matter experts in the development, planning, and implementation of multiple complex projects and/or programs.
  • Defines priorities and resources allocated to initiatives, projects and/or programs.
  • Develops and manages communications.
  • May engage and oversee the work of external partners.
  • Maintains awareness of trends, business conditions and internal processes and practices impacting organizational deliverables.
  • Promotes the development of strong cooperative relationships with the Field Global Services and Sales organizations.
  • Provides a leadership role in systems implementation, reporting & management of global policies and procedures; ensures consistent business practices are in place for all warranty and maintenance contracts.
  • Drives best practices and delivery to Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and ensures compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Leverages defined metrics to ensure consistency and drive best practices.
  • Advanced application of principles, theories, and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields. Including advanced understanding of EMC's product lines and services.
