Sales Manager - Sales and client service within global Operation & Maintenance





Brief Description



Do you have the skills and the drive to pursue sales opportunities and to lead complex service contract negotiations? If so, you have the opportunity to join FLSmidth’s fast-growing Operation and Maintenance Unit. You will be responsible for sales of operation and maintenance contracts within the cement and minerals industries and report to the Head of Global Sales of Operation and Maintenance.





Detailed Description



A driver for sales and business growth

You will be a key player in our efforts to pursue, negotiate and secure the sale of O&M contracts. As such you will work on sales opportunities from initial screening and proposal to successfully create new business that brings value to FLSmidth and our customers. In order to secure our client’s loyalty, you demonstrate a customer-centered focus both in the sales phase, upon closing the contracts and during the implementation phase. More specifically, you:



× Look for new O&M opportunities that create value for the customer



× Collect and report information regarding relevant markets



× Carry out risk assessment of the O&M opportunities



× Coordinate the technical, legal, tax and commercial aspects of the project



× Adapt O&M concepts to the market needs



× Participate in conferences to build knowledge and network





Job Requirements



Experienced Sales Manager with excellent understanding of operations management

You have a relevant technical education with commercial understanding or vice versa (e.g. a degree in Engineering with experience in sales or a Business degree with experience in a heavy asset industry). You are a capable and competent negotiator with solid experience from sales of large and complex projects. The combination of your business proficiency and your good understanding of the cement and/or minerals industry enables you to carry out far-sighted market analyses. In addition, you are a natural networker and have the ability to identify, involve and convince key business stakeholders across geographical and cultural borders. Besides, you are a true team player with strong commitment and drive, and the ability to work under pressure. You can anticipate approximately 60 – 90 travel days per year.
