Are you looking for a role where you have the possibility to use your experience as a project manager or Marine/process engineer within industrial biotechnology to take charge of CAPEX projects above 6 digit DKK, involving both internal and external stakeholders? We both see the possibility of you being an experienced project manager within industrial biotechnology or a profile with less experience, but a drive to execute larger CAPEX projects under close guidance of one of our experienced engineers. Therefore we encourage both types of profiles to apply, even if you are not able to fulfill all listed requirements. No matter which experience level, you are going to execute CAPEX projects related to increased capacity in our fermentation and downstream line, this include ensuring optimal design for equipment, electrical, programming, blacksmiths, CIP ect.

Unibio has developed a sustainable technology to produce protein. This technology is based on fermentation using methane as a raw material. With it, we can avoid overfishing the oceans and clearing the rainforest to grow soybeans. We have considerable interest from investors, who want to establish production in different countries around the world and expect to commence several projects later this year and next.

Your tasks

• Manage CAPEX projects from A-Z mainly on installation of new equipment, but also brownfield projects including buildings and utilities. All related to our fermentation and downstream processing platform.
• Handling scope, budget, timeline and risk management of CAPEX projects at Unibio innovation centre.
• Reporting, documenting and follow up on projects ensuring high quality in every project phase and alignment with management.
• Ensure anchoring of projects in organization by close collaboration with internal stakeholders
• Ensure government approvals are in place.

About the Position

We are looking for a candidate with the drive to implement process related CAPEX projects at Unibio Innovation Centre while learning about our unique technology. Over the coming years we are looking into several considerable sized projects. Some are upgrades and some are brownfield. These projects will relate to establishment of more fermentation capacity e.g. a new reactor and downstream processing capacity e.g. a new downstream process line. Maybe you have already worked with CAPEX projects, maybe you want to use the skills you have acquired during your studies and first years in job. On top of the planned investments at our innovation centre in Kalundborg, we are looking into establishing new industrial scale factories around the world. This position has the potential to evolve into being the link between industrial scale engineering and our innovation centre, hereby securing knowledge transfer internally in the company.  

Unibio Innovation Centre in Kalundborg has a dual function within the company, as we switch between technology development projects and development of new products.

Your workplace will be in Kalundborg with the opportunity to work some days in our head quarter in Roskilde. In this position you can expect up to 30 travel days per year in relation to support new factories.

Your background

• You have hands-on project management experience in a biotech setting.
• Experience in handling internal and external stakeholders.
• An education within Marine engineering, process/chemical engineering or similar.
• Previous experience within industrial scale biotechnology, the dairy industry or similar.
• Be self-driven and with an ability to work independently.
• You can prioritize and execute several projects simultaneously.
• Proven track record of the ability to handle the shifting agendas in a developing company.
• You can communicate fluently in written and verbal english and preferably danish.
