OPERATOR (Shipping, Transport, etc.)

Due to expansion of our fleet, we are regularly looking for candidates for the following position in our Barendrecht office:



Operator (1 fte)



As Operator you are responsible for the execution, implementation and supervision of assigned commercial contracts, time and voyage charters as well as ensuring that the highest financial results are achieved. You ensure and facilitate smooth communication between various parties (i.e. customer, technical manager, port agents) involved in the execution/implementation of commercial contracts. In this function you maintain a contract administration for each assigned vessel and provide reports and analyses to support the effectiveness of the commercial contracts. In addition, you assist with internal projects to improve interdepartmental commercial processes and actively participate in commercial business development.



Our preferred candidate for this function has a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (e.g. Maritime Operations or Shipping and Transport), experience in a similar maritime commercial position and seagoing experience as Deck Officer. Experience with voyage operations / administration software would be an advantage. You have excellent analytical and problem solving skills and a commercial attitude. Furthermore, you must have excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English.
