About the department

DFP standardisation and optimisation (S&O) consists of a team of 22 skilled and professional employees working with Optimization, Lean, Training and Standardisation of production processes. The unit strives to enable the Diabetes Finished Product (DFP) areas to deliver business results in a lean way by creating transparency of best practices, and supporting those areas in implementing sustainable solutions to both DFP strategic projects and local business challenges. You will be working in an international team with a global outlook and get introduced to state of the art technology within filling, assembly, packaging and testing of Novo Nordisk A/S products.



The job

As part of the job you will be responsible for simplifying the reporting process within S&O, by engaging with key stakeholders to ensure all needs are covered. It is expected that you can use lean tools to optimize and simply the current process to show savings within the area.



In addition to this you will be leading your own optimization project (with support) where you will have the opportunity to make practical use of your lean competencies and project management theory. This will give you a unique opportunity to learn project management skills from experienced Senior Project Managers.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is passionate about optimisation and about converting theory into tangible results. The person we are looking for has excellent Excel skills and good knowledge about current lean tools and change management principles. It is important to us that you as a person function well in a cultural diverse environment and is able to communicate clearly with a diverse group of people. The ideal candidate is service minded, thrives in a busy environment, brings a can-do attitude and a healthy sense of humour to work – even under pressure. Fluency in both oral and written English; ability to manage a large volume of tasks (with supervision); and excellent interpersonal skills are required.



In addition to this, it is important to us that you are outspoken and willing to share your knowledge for us to get benefit of up-to date benchmark for future improvement in S&O.

You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.



Practicalities

Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 4-6 months.

Start date: 01 February 2016
