About the department

R&D Patient Partnering is one of two central parts of the R&D Communication and Patient Partnering department. The latter is centrally placed within Strategic R&D, which reports to the CSO of Novo Nordisk and is a value partner to the R&D organisation - ie more than 6000 employees worldwide. The focus for R&D Patient Partnering is to capture and transform win-win opportunities for people with obesity, diabetes, haemophilia and growth disorders and Novo

Nordisk R&D into concrete initiatives that may accelerate, advance or otherwise enable our research and development team in support of Novo Nordisk’s commitment to people with the mentioned diseases.



The job

You will become part of a newly established one-of-a-kind unit at Novo Nordisk and your role will be to assist the Global Head and Lead in driving the establishment of project-oriented partnerships that focus on the patient community that Novo Nordisk caters for and the Novo Nordisk R&D teams. During your internship, you will play a key role in assisting the newly established Patient Partnering team in further consolidating its infrastructure. Along this you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining related processes and guidelines and the R&D Patient Partnering position paper. Along this you will work closely with many internal and external stakeholders, including research and patent leaders. You will also hold responsibility for designing and establishing an intranet-based ‘one stop shop’ that provides a compelling overview of the offers and projects related to Patient Partnering.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern who is skilled in and passionate about digital and network-related communication and knowledge-transfer and for driving a positive change for patients. You may even have experience in working with/for patient organisations. You need to be excellent at working in teams and in a matrix-setting. We imagine that your study focus and main interest is on health focused and digital communication and organisation or related fields. The ideal candidate has practical experience with the mentioned as well as with event management. You are a Microsoft Office super user especially when it comes to PowerPoint and you are acquainted with SharePoint.



You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative. In addition, you thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude and a healthy sense of humour to your work – even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have a strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning and deliverables.



Practicalities

Qualification: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months.

Start date: 04 January 2016
