Grundfos Engineer, Robotics and Controls
Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (AME) is a global organization that target to innovate, structure and improve production technology to create competitiveness for Grundfos. We set the direction for existing and future production setups in Grundfos Operations.
Our department supports the Grundfos production as well as being a partner to Grundfos R&D. We are 18 engineers in the department planning to grow with several new colleagues in 2021. Our purpose is to design the architecture and develop modules for future production setup as well as project execution of manufacturing solutions across Grundfos production sites worldwide. We work as a global team, both virtually cross boarder as well as onsite in development projects. You will report to Senior Manager, Morten Houlind Simonsen.

“You will join a highly technical and project-oriented department, where we are passionate about manufacturing technology. Our target is to develop architecture and modules, primarily for the Hydraulics manufacturing area, but also across the different Centers of Excellence in Grundfos AME. We will also support development of manufacturing technology and project execution. Our work involves simulation, maturation and integration for robust production solutions.” Morten explains.
What is the job about?
You will be part of projects in developing architecture and modules that structure and participate in implementing manufacturing platforms. This entails programming and run-in special equipment according to standards. A central part of your job will be implementation and integration to ensure a robust production, and document processes and learnings as well as ensure relevant international standards are met and each project is ready for CE marking.
Your primary tasks involve:
- PLC and HMI programming according to standards for special machines
- Robot programming (KRL) and run-in according to standards
- Simulation of industrial robots with software like 3DX Experience, RoboDK, Office lite etc.
- Development of standards, modules and manufacturing processes
- Training of and support to maintenance and suppliers
- Document user manuals and ensure compliance to relevant safety standards
- Support Grundfos in becoming data driven
What do you need to apply?
- You hold a relevant degree in engineering, eg. Controls, robotics or mechatronics.
- You have some years of experience in development and implementation of production technology. However, newly graduates are also welcoming to apply
- You have flair and interest for integration and optimization of advanced production processes
- You are familiar with programming, preferably PLC and Robot. It’s a plus, if you are familiar with servo motion, laser welding, knowledge of Rockwell Automation and KUKA products
- You speak and write English effortlessly
- You are located in Denmark
