Join FLC Marine as Operational Superintendent

FLC Marine is seeking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operational Superintendent to oversee the operations of the Multi-Purpose Pontoon (MPP). This specialized pontoon has been specifically designed and built for the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel project. The primary function of the MPP is the subsea installation of the Gravel Bed foundation using the Submerged Dumping Tool (SDT). The SDT is an advanced tool that functions similarly to a gigantic 3D printer, precisely positioning gravel to form the tunnel's foundation at unprecedented depths of up to 40 meters below the surface with millimeter-level accuracy.

About FLC Marine:

FLC is a joint venture consisting of nine international construction companies. Our mission is to design and construct a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, tunnel portals, and ramps. We are committed to delivering this project on time, safely, and in a sustainable and ethical manner.

Responsibilities:

Operational Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and manage detailed operational plans to ensure the efficient execution of project tasks.
  • Align operational activities with the project’s contract, plans, and budget requirements.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, primarily within the Marine Works Department, to ensure cohesive and effective project execution.

Project Management:

  • Organize and optimize the day-to-day operations of the Multi-Purpose Pontoon.
  • Ensure that project activities are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards (QHSE-S).

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with project owners, providing updates and addressing their needs and concerns.
  • Coordinate with different teams to ensure alignment and smooth operation of the pontoon.

Technical Expertise:

  • Leverage operational experience with fall-pipe vessels and similar marine construction tools.
  • Oversee the use of the Submerged Dumping Tool (SDT) to ensure precision and efficiency in the construction of the gravel bed foundation.

Conditions of Employment:

At FLC, we value transparent management structures, short decision-making channels, and a team-oriented environment. As an employee, you will receive the benefits of the Danish Salaried Employees Act, including pension, health insurance, and a lunch arrangement. The workplace will be located in Rødbyhavn.

This position offers the opportunity to be a part of a groundbreaking project, working with cutting-edge technology in one of the most challenging marine construction environments. If you have the expertise and drive to take on this exciting role, we invite you to apply and contribute to the success of the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel project. We will be inviting candidates for interviews on an ongoing basis, and the application period will close once the right candidate has been found.
