Extrusion operator
Our client is a leading manufacturer of high quality polythene film products. These high performing films are used to package, protect and preserve a variety of goods across the global supply chain. Their products are manufactured using advanced manufacturing techniques to provide superior strength, functionality and where required, excellent print and presentation qualities.
They are currently looking for an operator in the extrusion department - shift system with night duty
- Operating the extrusing machine according to the planning and the instructions of the teamleader.
- Operating machines that manipulate the film (making logo’s on it, making perforations, etc.).
- Helping with the preparation, start up and follow up of printing the film with specific information or logo’s.
- Preparing the planned orders (checking all the necessary material for this, preparing the blends that have to be made for the specific orders, etc.)
- Communicating with the teamleader when there are technical problems or additional tasks.
- Doing preventive maintenance of the extrusion machine according to the planning.
- Doing quality controls according to procedures.
- Updating datasheets.
- Registrating the used quantities of the materials.
- Sorting “scrap” (= wrong production) (registering and handling according to procedures).
- Keeping the environment clean and neat.
- Following safety rules as well as environmental rules.
- Communicating on dangerous situations in order to prevent incidents.
- Making proposals for optimizing the work procedures and for optimizing safety.
Schedule
Our client plastic non-stop. This means: 7 days working – 2 days resting – 7 nights working – 3 days resting – etc. Pay: €13,8540 per hour.
On Saturday you work 8 hours (pay 150%) and on Sunday you work 8 hours (pay 200%)
Salary
basic hourly wage gross is €13,8540
shift premium is:
+ €1,0225 for morning and afternoon shift
+ €3,65 for nightshift
Working overtime is accepted and will be payed extra.

3 weeks collective leave during July (paid)
1 week holiday (25/12 – 01/01) (paid)
