We are now recruiting for qualified (minimum FETAC Level 5 QQI qualification) full and part time Childcare Practioners / Educarers.
Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to, and in this order, Room Leader, Supervisor (if applicable), Creche Manager and Area Manager.
- Ensuring the best care and attention for the children in your care with special regards to physical, social, emotional, intellectual development & language development. To include the usual daily routines of changing nappies, feeding, sleeping, and playing etc. with the children in your care.
- Ensuring your room routine/programme is adhered to at all times.
- To ensure the children’s environment is safe and secure at all times, to include keeping your room and all equipment clean and tidy.
- Liaising with parents on a daily basis including settling in new children and their parents into crèche life. To ensure their transition into the crèche is a relaxed and calm process.
- Completion of all necessary paperwork where directed by Room Leader, to include daily attendance sheets, HACCP cleaning forms, accident report forms, observations etc.
- All staff must peer monitor and report any concerns immediately to Creche Manager.
- To ensure that the area you are working in is ready for a Health Board inspection at any time.
- Forward planning for the room must be documented and given to Creche Manager each Friday for week ahead.
- Any broken equipment to be removed, documented and reported to the Room Leader.
- Preparing for and attending yearly events i.e. Graduation & Christmas concerts (& Parent/Teacher Meetings if applicable), outside of normal working hours.
