About the department

You will be part of the Shipping & Customer Service (S&CS) department, responsible for all shipments of Novo Nordisk finished products to our affiliates and regional offices across the globe. We are a department of 40 employees, divided in 2 operational teams and 1 support team, the support team being where the internship is anchored.



S&CS is part of Supply Chain Planning, a central Supply Chain organisation in Product Supply, managing all cross-functional logistical systems and processes.



The S&CS department has the operational responsibility for distributing Novo Nordisk products across the globe. Furthermore overseeing and complying with all regulatory requirements related to distribution of pharmaceuticals, managing the distribution cost and performance management of our distribution process and vendors. The department is characterized by being a very dynamic environment, an area with increasing focus and an area in growth, in terms of requirements and complexity.



The job

You will get the opportunity to join a department with dedicated employees, juggling with many different processes and requirements. You will play a key role in improving the data foundation for your colleagues, by introducing and standardizing tools and measurements, creating transparency and optimizing processes.



You will have the possibility for becoming a strong analytical role in the department, drive the development of key performance measurements – creating a Shipping Dashboard, gathering and utilizing the data available.



Qualifications

We are looking for an intern, who is passionate about initiating and driving continuous improvements in an international supply chain context. You are strong analytically, structured and comfortable managing your own time and deliverables. You are already a skilled user of Microsoft Excel and Power Point and have a flair for data crunching and structuring.



As a person you are outgoing with strong personal drive and dedication. You are ambitious, result-oriented and strive by being challenged. Finally, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning.



Practicalities

Requirement: Students in their first or second year of their master studies.

Period: The internship position is a full-time position for 6 months. Start date can be flexible.
