FREYR Battery aims to provide industrial scale clean battery solutions to reduce global emissions. Listed on the New York Stock Exchange, FREYR’s mission is to produce green battery cells to accelerate the decarbonization of energy and transportation systems globally.
FREYR has commenced building the first of its planned factories in Mo i Rana, Norway and announced potential development of industrial scale battery cell production in the United States.
We are looking for an Automation Engineer to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of our automated systems and processes.
This position is located at our Customer Qualification Plant in Mo i Rana, Norway, where we validate and improve technology, materials, and cell designs as we prepare for commercial production.
You will be working with scaling up breakthrough semi-solid technology creating the most sustainable batteries the world has ever seen. We are looking for highly motivated professionals to join our mission, and to help us build a centre of excellence for battery cell manufacturing.
Your main tasks include:
- Maintain automation equipment, including spare parts management
- Troubleshoot automated processes or equipment when errors occur
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for automation equipment
- Integrate new automated components to the manufacturing process
- MES/SCADA integration
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Bachelor in Automation or Electrical Engineering
- Min 3 years experience from working in an automated work environment
- Good experience from working with automation programming languages and software for PLC/HMI
- Experience of working with MES/SCADA systems
- Experience of utilizing SAP or a similar system is a plus but not a necessity
