Architect, Embedded Linux
Are you an expert in embedded Linux architecture and are able to select the right software components for our needs? Then you could be our new Architect, embedded Linux in the cooling segment. The position is preferably located in Nordborg, but working from our office in Copenhagen is also an option. No matter where your primary location is, you will need to be in Nordborg during your start-up phase to ensure your integration into the team.
Design, code and integrate software architecture As an Architect, Embedded Linux you will provide architectural steering and support, ensuring architectural conformance and efficient delivery of solutions. With your strong business understanding and in-depth knowledge of solution architecture, you will be in a key position to drive, direct and align IT architectural design across the entire business area. Your main tasks will be to: •Define optimized ARM based MPU/MCU multi core system architectures •Design, code and integrate software for an embedded Linux target (low level drivers and other common SW components) •Cooperate with external partners – consultants, customers, IT departments •Customize, deployment and maintenance of Linux distribution on different hardware platforms •Interact with Linux kernel, Yocto framework, and integrate new device drivers •Improve and maintain existing software components •Perform test, verification and validation of the products developed •Assist with the hardware design surrounding the processor •Ensure a high level of quality in the products Analytical and innovative mind-set and excellent communications skills You have solid knowledge within system architecture in software/hardware, and preferable experience with collaboration with external design houses. You possess excellent coding skills in C/C++ and experience in developing and/or debugging communication drivers for industrial communications protocols like USB, Ethernet, TCP/IP and Modbus. Maybe you hold a Master’s degree in computer science or a related field. If you have knowledge about proc filesystem and multi core Linux concepts or experience working with boot-loaders and multi-processor/multi-core systems, it will be an advantage.
