Application Software Engineer

Join Software Solution Services and apply the latest technologies You will be part of our Software Solution Services organisation and together with other Application Engineers at various locations, you will develop software solutions for customer systems using DPS products and technologies. We see an increasing part of our solutions involving electronics as a means of controlling the hydraulic power, and our solutions are often required to work in conjunction with our customers’ existing systems. The position is located in Nordborg and entails approxomately 20 travel days per year. Translate customer specifications into bulletproof software design Working with the latest technology, your mission will be to design, develop and maintain embedded software. You will play a major role in large-scale software projects, and you will translate customer specifications into software design and create bulletproof solutions for complicated and challenging requirements. Your main responsibilities will be: •Implementation of complex embedded software for driving, steering and auxiliary systems •Management of global software development projects for control and regulation technology •Maintenance of existing applications •Test of software and documentation of solutions •Participation in machine start-ups at Danfoss and customer sites Engineer with a desire to work with hydraulics, mechatronics, and electronic engineering You hold an MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent, combined with some experience as application software engineer where you have completed several product development projects with good results. You are skilled in graphical software development language, and you are strong in the use of embedded application software, graphical and textual programming, software test methodologies and tools. Moreover, you have sound knowledge of control and regulation technology and basic knowledge of CAN protocols. As a person, you are proactive, pragmatic and result-oriented, and you thrive in an entrepreneurial and informal organisation with great ambitions. When it comes to your assignments, you have a creative mind-set and are persistently looking for possibilities to foster and implement new ideas within your domain. You are structured and have an analytical approach to problem solving. Your success in this position will depend very much on your ability to adapt to a very dynamic working environment, and to lead the way with your commitment and your inspiring talent for communicating your expertise. Last but not least, you speak and write English fluently, and if you also speak Danish and/or German, that will be an advantage.
