INTEGRATED MICRO-ELECTRONICS BULGARIA is part of Integrated Micro-Electronics, Inc. (IMI) - a leading provider of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) and power semiconductor assembly and test services. IMI partners with some of the world’s top original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across diverse sectors including computing, communications, consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, and medical.
Founded in 1980 as a joint venture between Ayala Corporation and Resins Inc., IMI has grown into a multinational organization with manufacturing and sales operations in Bulgaria, Serbia, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Mexico, USA, Philippines, China, Japan, and Israel.
In Bulgaria, IMI operates three production facilities - IMI 1, IMI 2, and Plastics & Toolshop, all located in Botevgrad. The Bulgarian operations currently employ approximately 1,900 people.
