We are currently recruiting for Staff Nurses for following locations:

  • Clondalkin Lodge , New Road, Dublin 22.
  • Northwood Nursing Home, Old Ballymun Rd, Northwood Ave, Santry, Dublin
  • Beaumont Lodge Transitional Care Unit, Coolock, Dublin 5
  • Loughshinny Nursing Home, Skerries

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a case load of patients daily
  • Ensure documentation and care plans are completed
  • Wound care management and skin assessments
  • Hydration and nutrition of the patient , fluid balance , intake and output .
  • Activities of daily living for the patient
  • Ensure that all patients are treated with dignity, privacy and respect and ensuring they are treated as individuals.
  • Experience of nursing care metrics
  • Experience in managing a patient with IPC precautions
  • INEWS experience and managing a deteriorating patient
  • Maintain professional standards in keeping with An Bord Altranais Code of Professional Conduct and have an understanding of all An Bord Altranais documents and their implications for nursing practice.
  • Liase with families and ensure patients and family are aware of updates in their condition
  • Liase with MDT from admission to discharge on the patients care
  • Discharge planning
  • Incident management
  • Knowledge of handwashing and implementation into practice
  • Caring for a patient medical , surgical or post op care
  • Administration of Medications PO, IV , PR , PEG , NG
  • Ensure all Nursing Healthcare policies are known and adhered to by all staff.
  • Ensures the agreed policies and procedures for the control, administration and custody of all drugs and medicines are adhered to.
  • Participates in HIQA visits and conversant with standards of care expected.
  • Liase with MDT

Условия на работата

Qualifications:

  • A registered General Nurse on the Register of Nurses held by Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • Post registration qualification in nursing people with dementia.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of organisation of health services and trends nationally and internationally.
  • Professionalism in the application of theory to daily practices.
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • Experience of effectively managing a case load of patients
  • Ability to source both theoretical and technical information.
  • BLS experience
  • IV competent
