Sr. Internal Communications Advisor

We are offering an exciting opportunity as an internal communications advisor within Danfoss Power Solutions – a global leader in the mobile hydraulics industry and a large segment within the Danfoss group with about 7,000 employees. You will play a key role in developing the framework for our communication approach within our segment and your strategic focus will be essential. We are putting quality and effectiveness to the forefront when developing and implementing a broad range of communications and change initiatives. You will become part of the internal communications team within Danfoss Power Solutions – a team of knowledgeable and dedicated communications professionals. The position is global and you will be based in one of our large locations; Neumünster, Germany; Nordborg, Denmark or Ames, Iowa, USA. No matter which location is preferred, you can expect a number of days of travel each year. Key responsibilities You will report to the Director of Internal Communications within the Danfoss Power Solutions segment. As a communications advisor, your primary objective will be to support our leaders with strategic and tactical communications advice, drive high-quality internal communications, and ensure strong communications processes. Your key tasks will include: Support development of communications strategy, framework and channels across the segment in a consistent approach matching the strategic development of the business •Support with communications content and key messages for senior leaders •Coordinate and influence change through comprehensive communications activities •Develop high-quality communications for projects and special initiatives •Communications advising on a variety of subjects •Support on further developing internal communications channels including digital and social media •Driving tactical and operational online presence (intranet & internal social media) •Communications governance, coordination and planning •Production of communications materials Furthermore, based on your professional insight and solid business understanding, you are capable of empowering others, and you link communication and business objectives, thereby supporting Danfoss’ overall strategic objectives. Senior experience and strong communication skills As the ideal candidate for this dynamic opportunity, you have a relevant educational background, preferably at a Master’s level, and you have strong skills across the many disciplines within professional internal business communications. Most importantly, you are highly passionate about driving strong cross-cultural communications and change communications. You also know how to work with strategic communications challenges, drive line management communications and support leaders in breaking down complex content into engaging, targeted communications. As a person, you are proactive and have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. You have what it takes to act in the role as a trusted advisor, and by being a good listener and asking the right questions, you enable communications solutions and problem solving. Moreover, you work independently, systematically, and are performance-oriented, and at the same time, you are a dedicated team player.
