Solution Architect (English speaking)(M/F/D)

THAT’S WHAT IT’S ABOUT

• Develop detailed architecture diagrams and supporting documentation in order to provide the implementation team with guidance and support
• Understand the business needs of the customer by conducting well-structured interviews and workshops with stakeholders
• Participate in technical sales activities to provide the customer with the information they need to make an informed decision
• Summarize the gathered information into a clear vision and comprehensive target state which aligns with  the desired outcomes
• Develop an implementation roadmap together with your team by slicing up the work into self-contained value driven milestones
• Present the outcome to the customer to get project buy-in
• Actively communicate and present architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders on the customer side
• Conduct architecture reviews with the implementation team on a continuous basis ensuring that the solution fits well into the customer environment and platform vision
• Periodically verify and re-estimate the cloud consumption costs in order to provide the customer and our partners with a transparent view
• Help the team prepare project handover documentation and recycle project knowledge into reusable templates for future projects

• Demonstrated proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts in the cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) with a strong focus on modern data lakes & warehouses (e.g. Databricks, Dremio), data pipeline orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue), and related areas
• 8+ years of Software Engineering experience with a strong focus on platform engineering
• 2+ years of proven Solution Architecture experience
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to understand complex business issues and translate them to solutions based on both quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Hands on experience and ability to develop and maintain end-to-end solutions, communicating at high level coupled with a detailed understanding
• Excellent technical understanding to address non-functional requirements including query performance, data quality, and security
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly explain complex business and technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to work collaboratively across diverse groups of business and technical stakeholders, and explain complex technical solutions to audiences on management level during sales, pre-sales, and customer engagement
