Your position

As an Automation & Control Engineer in the Renewables division, you will join our dedicated Automation & Electrical team, working alongside 10 welcoming colleagues based in Denmark and Poland. The Automation & Electrical Team is part of the “SCADA and Automation Group” which have 25-30 colleagues. Together, we develop SCADA, automation and control as well as fire alarm system solutions for specialized offshore substation projects on a global scale.

In this role, you will be involved in all phases of large-scale projects, from initial design and client meetings to testing and on-site commissioning, ensuring smooth project execution. You will also play a key role in standardizing processes and helping to establish best practices for future projects.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg. The position is full-time and 10-30 travel days per year to clients, suppliers and our other locations should be expected.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As member of the Automation & Electrical team, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of automation and control systems for offshore substation projects.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Design, development, and integration of OSS (Offshore Substation) auxiliary systems.
  • Clarifying design requirements with clients and ensuring engineering alignment across system disciplines.
  • Engineering and system integration together with SCADA, PLC programming and Fire Alarm System disciplines.
  • Specification of electrical LV distribution boards and control panels in close cooperation with panel builders.
  • Participating in development of best practice and standardization of control systems and interfaces.
  • Participating in internal assignments such as development and standardization of processes and tools.
  • Managing documentation, including design specifications, test/verification procedures, operating instructions.
  • Conducting verification, testing, and providing technical support.

Your profile & qualifications

This role involves close collaboration with various technical disciplines, so being a team player who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment is key. With daily communication with many stakeholders, you will need to be a strong communicator who’s both structured and proactive in your approach.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
 

  • Background as electrical engineer or marine engineer with +5 years of experience
  • Open minded and a positive attitude
  • Desire to develop experience working with automation solutions and installations, and potentially hands-on experience in integrating and getting systems up and running on a construction site.
  • Want to develop knowledge of offshore substations
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written.
