As a RIB Boat and Bike&Hike Guide at Adventure Tours Norway, you will be responsible for delivering safe, engaging, and high-quality outdoor experiences in the Sognefjord region. You will guide guests on RIB boat adventures, bicycle and e-bike tours, and guided hikes, sharing local knowledge, nature insights, and your passion for outdoor life.
The role combines boat handling, guiding, and guest service, with varied workdays in one of Norway’s most spectacular fjord landscapes. You will work closely with an international team and meet guests from all over the world, including independent travelers, cruise guests, and groups. Safety, professionalism, and positive guest experiences are all important.
Previous boating experience or maritime licenses gives priority.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong focus on safety and responsible guiding
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent English (spoken); additional languages are an advantage
- Valid driver’s licence (category B)
(For RIB guides: required maritime certificates will be provided or arranged according to Norwegian regulations, if not already held.)
- Previous experience as a guide, instructor, or within tourism/hospitality
- Experience with RIB boats and maritime certificates (big advantage)
- Experience with cycling, e-bikes, hiking, or outdoor activities
- Knowledge of the local area, nature, and culture
- Additional language skills (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Italian)
- First aid certification or outdoor safety training
- A positive, flexible attitude and enjoyment of working in a social, international environment
