Reporting to the Director Global R&D, the job holder is expected to support the development of new products/business with application development from initial product concept over prototyping to final industrialization.  The position shall complement our product development by application development, i.e. using our products in combination with other materials or modifying our products to offer customers a higher valued system solution.  Immediate project will be the development of a PET based pre-insulated HVAC duct system.  Other project examples are:  (1) Development of Vacuum Insulation Panels based on Armacell product technologies  (2) Sandwich composite parts for the transportation industry (train, truck, aircraft, marine)  Tasks  

  • Support process development for foam conversion into products like pre-insulated ducts, ETCS.
  • Translate work instructions, quality procedures and drawings as applicable to the work being performed.
  • Assemble products, fasteners, seals, etc. using standard tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Participate in brainstorming / problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve related problems.
  • Laminate and vacuum bag prototype products in compliance with engineering data and associated quality requirements.
  • Cure parts in oven
  • Perform tasks associated with product and tool build including secondary bonding, inserts, curing, and wet laminating.
  • Perform Mold Preparation, sealing, release tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
