A company from west part of Slovenia is looking for an experienced and proactive Purchasing Officer to join the team. The ideal candidate will bridge the strategic and operational aspects of procurement, ensuring an efficient, sustainable, and reliable supply chain for our production processes.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production needs;
- Identify, select, and develop suppliers while managing key partnerships;
- Monitor requirements and place orders in line with procurement objectives;
- Prepare annual and weekly procurement plans;
- Negotiate terms, draft purchasing contracts, and optimize procurement processes;
- Monitor raw material markets, prepare price forecasts, and assess potential risks;
- Collaborate with internal departments on product development and innovation projects;
- Prepare import/export documentation and coordinate with customs and freight forwarders;
- Ensure cost efficiency in transport, storage, and material usage;
- Accurately enter data into the information system and cooperate with the accounting department.
Zahteve za delovno mesto
- Proven experience in procurement and logistics (experience in the food industry is an advantage but not a requirement);
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills;
- Strong command of English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus;
- Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude;
- Completed secondary or higher vocational education (preferably in food technology, chemistry, logistics, or economics);
- Valid Category B driving license and willingness to travel for business purposes
