We are hiring an expert mountain guide to guide our alpine climbing trips summer season 2024. The position is seasonal and will be from June to September. Duration can be customized.
The guide job
As a guide at Uteguiden you`ll be part of an experienced guide team always going the extra mile for our guests. Your daily work as a guide will be to guide our tours and courses. Our trips and courses are between 1 – 7 days long. We have a combination of Norwegian and international travelers, which means you have to be fluent in English.
The typical trips you will be guiding is our alpine climbs to Romsdalshorn, Bladet, Store Brekketind, Lodalskåpa and our climbing courses. You can also expect to guide our regular hiking tours.
We are looking for the following qualification
- Certification
- UIAGM / IFMGA guide
- NF klatreinstruktør høyfell
- Or other international qualified alpine guide courses
- Experience in guiding
- Interpretation / Storytelling
- Valid first aid course – minimum 2 days
- Nature and environmental knowledge
- Driving license class B
We value guides who have a wide range of skills and qualifications. It is therefore an advantage if you have
- Sea kayak qualification
- Hospitality & tourism education
- Experience from the tourism business
- Speak one of the Scandinavian languages fluently.

What you can expect
Guaranteed 130h. work per month. As a guide at Uteguiden you can expect to work with our tours and courses in the Møre og Romsdal region. With this position you should have your own car, and be prepared to move to different locations within our region for work.
You will be part of our experienced guide team who has access to the company’s multiple outfitter deals. You can expect to take part in our training and social events. For the right person and those who are willing to commit for multiple years, will be awarded with becoming part of our guide training and educational program.
Housing
We will be helpful in finding you a place to stay while you are working with us.
