Manager Supplier Quality Assurance (M/F) - Grevenmacher
Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Purchasing, the Coordinator Supplier Quality will have supplier quality responsibility and support Operations, Supply Chain and Engineering by identifying process improvement opportunities within the Carlex supply base. Additionally, this role will work closely with suppliers and review their manufacturing processes to develop corrective action plans to realign process flow, drive improvement in quality and productivity and identify value enhancement opportunities.
Role:
Regularly visit suppliers and conduct supplier quality system – and process audits, manage specific quality issues, lead on-going quality and manufacturing improvement projects
Collect and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain
Collect and maintain supplier performance metrics within the supplier quality scorecard
Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to ensure awareness of known purchased part or product quality issues
Identify repeating quality issues of suppliers and lead actions for improvement
Communicate and instruct suppliers on the use of a corrective action process and quality tools & techniques
Manage supplier contracts in terms of quality requirements
Perform market research and benchmarking for suppliers and components to drive “best value” concept
In collaboration with Program Management and Quality, defines project timing, Q characteristics, measurement system etc.
Follows the development of purchased parts or processes at supplier
Profile:
Academic degree in business administrations, economics, engineering or a related subject area
Solid background in Quality/Purchasing; preferable in an OEM or Tier 1 automotive manufacturing role
Knowledge of industrial norms and Quality requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills in German and English (French is a plus)
Strong data analysis and reporting skills
Strong interpersonal and customer interface skills
Advanced/Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
Proficient in quality tools such as 8D, PFMEA etc
Certified auditor VDA 6.x
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to develop part certification processes and vendor quality measures
Strong communication, presentation and team skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
Willingness to travel
Valid Driver’s License (B)
