Our multinational partner company is looking for a practical software engineer with a solid history of software implementation and who is interested in an exciting international R & D project in the area of climate change and radically shifting weather paterns. The projects prime focus is the development of a state-of-the-art environmental monitoring platform within Lake George, in the state of New York, USA.
Tasks:
- assist in the hardening/stabilization of proof-of-concept code,
- integrate existing research systems on a path towards commercialization,
- work from high-level specification/instruction,
- responsible for low level design and implementation.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience with Java server side application development,
- SQL development skills (DB2, MySQL, Postgres),
- experience with one of the following: IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Glassfish, JBoss.
- ability to do agile development.
