FEM Simulation Engineer
As Mechanical FEM Simulation Engineer, you perform computer-aided analysis and studies (FEM and thermal ones) in order to support new products design as well as existing parts improvement/optimization. You examine the simulation requirements, take care of software tools setup, build representative models providing also the data required for model validation, perform simulations according to requirements, produce exhaustive reports and suggest engineering solutions based on simulations output.
A day in life:
- Simplification of the geometries (Ansys Spaceclaim)
- Perform Static simulation (linear and not-linear), Gasket simulation and Dynamic simulations (Modal, Transient and Random vibration) (Ansys Mechanical)
- Communicate with R&D departments regarding to all the input needed to carry a proper simulation
- Align simulation to the test result (DV and PV) supporting T&V when required by the FEM TL
- Participate to internal meeting (VDR) and call/meeting with the customer
- Propose solutions to improve Structural design to fulfill customer requirements
- Prepare report (internal or for the customer)
- Supplier interface on simulation software tool, requests and issues.
Must have:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Certified and strong knowledge of Ansys Mechanical/Space Claim
- Very good English spoken and written
Nice to have:
- At least 4 years of related experience
- Ability to react quickly to unexpected changes and competing priorities and deliver quality results.
