FREYR has commenced building the first of its planned factories in Mo i Rana, Norway and announced potential development of industrial scale battery cell production in the United States.
We are looking for a Facility Engineer / Technician with an electrical background to ensure high performance of all facility related equipment.
This position is located at our Customer Qualification Plant in Mo i Rana, Norway, where we validate and improve technology, materials, and cell designs as we prepare for commercial production.
You will be working with scaling up breakthrough semi-solid technology creating the most sustainable batteries the world has ever seen. We are looking for highly motivated professionals to join our mission, and to help us build a centre of excellence for battery cell manufacturing.
Your main tasks include:
- Inspect equipment to detect any potential defects and implement repairs/improvements as necessary
- Maintain facility equipment, including documentation and planning
- The equipment and systems include central cooling water, hot water, sprinkler pumps, oxygen reduction system, N2-system, hot oil system, HVAC systems, access control, compressed air, chemical room equipment, fire suppression system and building
We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Minimum vocational training or a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (preferred), automation or mechanics or other relevant discipline; being a certified electrician in Norway is a big plus
- Min 2 years practical experience in facility management
- Basic knowledge in HVAC/B&I
- Good experience with technical documentation drawings
- Experience of utilizing SAP or a similar system for maintenance tasks
