• Monitor and analyze developments in European and global energy markets (power, gas, emissions);
• Interpret market movements through the lens of economic fundamentals, supply/demand trends, and international policy shifts;
• Produce reports, briefings, and presentations based on own research, internal data outputs, and external events;
• Use in-house analytical tools to explore price drivers, forecast scenarios, and assess market risks;
• Collaborate with data scientists, policy experts, and commercial teams.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field (Master’s preferred)
• Strong grasp of market dynamics and financial instruments (e.g. futures, forwards, spreads, basis, etc.)
• Proven ability to work with quantitative data – fluency in Excel and experience with analytical tools
• Demonstrated experience in data-driven analysis and independent research
• Familiarity with key macroeconomic indicators and energy policy drivers
• Statistical background or coursework in applied statistics
• Knowledge of econometrics and empirical research methods
• Prior experience in commodity, energy, or environmental markets
• Understanding of EU and global energy policy frameworks (e.g. ETS, REPowerEU, CBAM, etc.)
• Familiarity with news and regulatory sources such as ICIS, Argus, Platts, or IEA
