Bar Person - Fig Tree Restaurant

Dromoland Castle Hotel wishes to recruit a full time Bar Person for the Fig Tree Restaurant located in Dromoland Castle Golf and Country Club.

Ideal candidate will be responsible for: -

Main Responsibilities

·        Be responsible for the smooth running of the Fig Tree Restaurant Bar.

·        Be actively involved in bar operations in a “hands on” capacity in the Fig Tree Restaurant Bar and also to be flexible to assist when required, on the floor of Restaurant.

·        To proactively promote sales within the bar area.

·        Be actively “Up-selling” beverages and encouraging sales in order to meet targets.

·        Work in conjunction with senior management to devise and implement cost controls.

·        Operational training on a regular basis. 

·        Carrying out regular beverage stock takes.

·        Opening and closing procedures.

·        Be creative, coming up with ideas and innovative. 

·        Ensuring guests and patrons are looked after in a timely and efficient manner.

·        Ensure all Health & Safety procedures are implemented to the highest standards.

Candidates need to meet the following criteria: -

·        Possess 3rd level qualification in Bar Management or equivalent.

·        A minimum of 3-4 years bar and food management experience in a similar environment. 

·        Self-motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Excellent ability to lead and motivate others.

·        Self-motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Working 5 days over 7 days

·        Strong organisational skills.

·        Possess strong knowledge of bar products and familiar with product offerings.
