Our client is a projectsourcing company, working for several sectors, including naval and offshore industries. Most projects are in Belgium or Holland, but there are also opportunities in other countries (worldwide).
As an application engineer you will be responsible for preparing ship designs and adapt them to different customer requirements. You prepare specifications and calculate costs in close collaboration with other departments (R&D, Engineering, Affiliates, Production, Sales etc.)
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
- Preparation of designs, technical specifications and delivery in the context of pre-qualification, tender offers, offers and presentations, taking into consideration current market changes, delivery terms and exchange rates.
- Consultation with many parties in order to achieve an optimised design (research and engineering partners, Engineering, suppliers, subcontractors etc.)
- Monitor progress in the pre-sales phase
- Setting up project planning (milestones), determine cost price additional/less work, preparation of list of deviations, list of producers and other customer-specific information
Requirements:
- Degree in Naval Architecture or equal by experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the sector
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Willing to learn Dutch.

- Willing to relocate to Belgium/Holland
