For our Model Based Diagnostic team in Service’s Diagnostic Center we are looking for an additional Wind turbine Diagnostic Specialist, who can assist us in further bringing the new tools we develop into practical use. The Model Based Diagnostic team is like the rest of Diagnostic Intelligence working remotely on detecting issues on our wind turbines, thereby assuring a minimized downtime for our customers. This is done from Service’s head quarter in Brande in close collaboration with the rest of the Service organization, Siemens Wind Power and the regional offices.

What are my responsibilities?

Assist with technical and product expertise to our Computer and Data Scientists, Physicians and Turbine Engineers. Verify and decide when a system generated finding needs to be escalated to a service job on a given turbine. This is done remotely from Brande, but site visits can also occur in order to strengthen both collaboration, and technical quality of remote diagnostic findings. Systematic evaluation of system detections, and decision on need for escalation. Help finding new usage of remote diagnostics to detect issues in technically complex machinery as modern wind turbines.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Ideally, you are a highly experienced wind turbine technician with a desire to utilize your extensive knowledge to take part in the data driven approach to detect failures remotely. You have an analytical and systematic approach to your work, driven by a desire to find what you are looking for. You perform equally well when working independently and as part of a team. You are familiar in working with Excel, willing to learn SQL and Matlab (training will be provided), and are fluent in English – orally as well as in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
