We are looking for a reliable and practical Warehouse & Maintenance Assistant to join our small hotel team. This role combines warehouse organization with basic maintenance duties and is essential in helping our daily operations run smoothly. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys hands-on work, is well organized, and takes pride in maintaining clean and efficient working spaces.

The main responsibility of the role is to manage and maintain the organization of the hotel’s warehouse and storage areas. Throughout the week, the hotel receives various supplies required for daily operations, including food, beverages, cleaning products, and other materials. The assistant will help receive deliveries, sort and store items properly, and ensure that the warehouse remains tidy, safe, and easy to navigate.

An important part of the position involves handling equipment and materials used during catering events, particularly on weekends when events are more frequent. After catering activities, equipment, utensils, and supplies are returned to the property and must be sorted, checked, and properly stored in the warehouse. Keeping the storage areas organized ensures that all departments can easily locate what they need and that items remain in good condition.

In addition to warehouse responsibilities, the role also includes supporting the general maintenance of the hotel property. This may involve small repairs, basic upkeep, and assisting with minor technical issues around the building. The goal is to address small maintenance tasks quickly and efficiently before professional services such as plumbers or electricians are required.

The ideal candidate is organized, responsible, and comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting, moving, and arranging supplies. The ability to work independently, stay proactive, and maintain order in busy periods—especially after catering events—is essential.

We offer a live-in position with on-site accommodation, making it a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a small hospitality environment. Daily meals are provided, including on days off. Staff members also have access to laundry facilities on the property, including the use of a washing machine. During breaks, employees may also use the hotel’s swimming pool, contributing to a relaxed and pleasant work atmosphere.

Key responsibilities include:

• Keeping the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and accessible.
• Receiving, sorting, and storing deliveries, including food, beverages, cleaning supplies, and other hotel materials.
• Managing materials and equipment returned from catering events, especially during weekends, and ensuring they are properly stored.
• Monitoring stock levels and helping maintain order and inventory organization.
• Assisting with basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs when needed.
• Supporting hotel operations by helping move or organize supplies between departments.

Requirements:

• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging supplies.
• Basic knowledge of simple maintenance tasks is preferred.
• Reliability and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability to assist after busy catering weekends when needed.

Knowledge of basic Italian language
