TECHNICAL SUPERINTENDET
We are looking for candidates for the following position at our MPI Head Office in Stokesley, North Yorkshire:
Technical Superintendent (1 fte)
As Technical Superintendent you manage all technical matters to ensure the jack-up vessels’ safety at all times. In addition, you monitor the vessels’ performances, shipboard maintenance and repair programs. You also need to be familiar with the preparation and overseeing of budgets, approving orders, invoices and payments up to the limit of authorisation. In this role you also need to supervise the shipboard working organisation and ensure that all vessels’ certification and surveys of class, flag and international requirements are in order at all times. If required to do so you will plan and coordinate the inspection of repairs and dry docking of the vessels.
To excel in this position you should have sailed up to Chief Engineer, preferably on offshore vessels, however, other vessel types will be considered, and hold a Class One COC. Some shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent or similar capacity is also preferred. We are looking for someone with significant managerial experience, good organisational skills and strong academic background.
