System/Application Engineer or Technician for Broadband Access Networks

The Job:

• Integration and verification of various RF and IP communication setups in an broadband access technology environment with internal and external products
• Coordination of the interfaces to the customer during the different project phases and control activities
• Cooperation with the colleagues in the product management, development and software architecture for further developments of customer-related applications
• Formulating, specifying and developing new innovative and interesting applications that require knowledge of schematic design, architectural models and prototype testing
• Customer demos, field tests, installations and after-sales support

The Engineer or Technician we are looking for:

• You have a focus on broadband communication technology (e.g. communications engineering, electrical engineering or computer science) or a comparable substantial qualification
• You have experience in system integration and project management in the communication industry and evolving technologies
• You like to work and communicate with people and to find solutions for new setups and open questions
• Ideally you have experience on both the IP and RF side, following the future scope of the broadband industry
• Understanding the special affinity for DOCSIS networks would be a plus, but interests to dig in shows your ambition for new working areas
• Knowledge in one or more of the following areas simplifies the entry
  • DOCSIS (CCAP, CPE, RPD, Amplifiers/Nodes)
  • Analog and Digital Fibre Optic Technology (from RFoG to XGS-PON)
  • Understanding of Converged Interconnect Networks (CIN / WAN) and topologies
  • Good overview and understanding in applications and related topics
  • General design/planning, rollout and operating of broadband networks including maintenance and service requirements
• You have already demonstrated your intercultural skills and your willingness to take responsibility
• You have the technical comprehension as well as the required economic thinking and responsible acting
• Teamwork, intercultural and communication skills as well as subject-specific English are part of your competences
• Mobility and willingness to travel (international) is not a problem for you.
