Award winning restaurant Kealy's Seafood Bar located on the harbour in Greencastle, Co. Donegal, are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef to join our team. Great opportunity to work in a well established seafood restaurant, located in an idyllic seaside town. Working with the freshest fish and shelfish landed directly from the boats and vegetables supplied by two local organic farms. Excellent working hours.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Sous Chef of a busy kitchen with a small team but candidates with Chef De Partie level experience and a strong background would be considered also. Experience working with seafood highly desirable.
Responsible for:
Input in Menu Creation and specials
Over seeing service to ensure food is consistantly of a high standard
Stock control and costing
Training of junior members
HACCP and ensuring cleaning schedule is followed.
The successful candidate must have:
A genuine passion and flair for food
An excellent work ethic
Time keeping skills
Good people skills
A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in high quality kitchens (Sous Chef level experience highly desirable but not a necessity).
Have a strong awareness and compliance with all Health & Safety work practices and HACCP.
