About us:

Stegra, formerly know as H2 Green Steel, is on a mission to disrupt the global steel industry by producing green steel, with the end goal of bringing down CO2 emissions to zero. By using green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity instead of coal; water and heat will be our primary emissions. By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitalized, and sustainable plant in Boden, located in northern Sweden - currently in construction phase. But this is just the beginning – our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize other industries in addition to steel, and we look forward to what’s next in store for us.

Site Lab Manager
In the role of Site Lab Manager you will be part of the Boden operations section of Stegra with a placement in Boden. In this role you'll ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and relevant ISO/IAFT/VDA standards. You're involved in performing accurate and timely analysis of samples, maintaining and calibrating monitoring and measuring equipment, and overseeing all onsite equipment.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 20+ employees within the Site lab organization in achieving goals and objectives and monitor progress toward achieving them.
Ensure Safety, Environmental, Quality requirements and ISO/IAFT/VDA requirements are followed.
Perform all tasks in a manner to provide timely, consistent, accurate and precise analysis of all samples
Ensure monitoring and measuring equipment is maintained and verified/calibrated
Responsible for all onsite equipment, confirmation of calibration doucments
This position covers all mechanical and Chemical testing equipment including our SEM and advanced Microscope lab
 

Qualifications:

Education of High School diploma or higher education
Previous experience from leadership role, experience from work in laboratory is meritable
Expert in working with different stakeholders and maintaining good relations with internal and external contacts
Excellent written and spoken English.
Strong safety awareness
Proven leadership skills and ability to lead, support and delegate work to the members of the team
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Quality & detail oriented
Mechanical and technically knowledgable
