You probably won’t find another swimming pool like ours in Ireland. Our Subtropical Swimming Paradise is the focal point of every village. We have slides, whirlpools, splash areas for our younger guests, underwater activities to enjoy and cabanas to kick back and relax in. Our Lifeguards are present and involved in each area and activity, so your job will be incredibly diverse.

QUALIFIED & TRAINEE LIFEGUARDS | €14.14 Per Hour
Working in a large team, you’ll be allocated general cleaning and testing duties to make sure the pool is safe for guests. You’ll be on rotation with other Lifeguards, monitoring various activities and attractions on a 30 minute cycle, as well as supervising guest leisure activities. At each of the lifeguard stations you’ll be expected to maintain guest safety, whilst ensuring they are happy in their environment.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week but you will always receive your contracted hours per period.
Your working hours will include days, evenings, weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis, with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.

Trainee candidates will be required to attend an NPLQ course and an offer of employment will be subject to passing the course and a successful interview. Please note that the course will be full-time hours for 5 days and include classroom sessions on the responsibilities of being a Lifeguard, how to observe our pool guests, how to rescue those in need and how to administer first aid and CPR.
Candidates must successfully pass a swim test in order to progress to interview stage
Upon successful completion of this course, you will gain a recognised lifeguard qualification that lasts two years from the date of assessment.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role the successful applicants will be required to undergo Garda Vetting. This disclosure, together with other selection information, will need to be satisfactory to the Company for employment to commence.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be someone who is naturally cheerful, friendly and approachable, and who works well in a large team. Each day will bring different duties around the pool, from pool, slide and water safety checks, through to cleaning, tidying and generally being on hand to provide a great service to our guests. This means that you’ll need to be the sort of person who loves helping others and thinks nothing of going over and beyond expectations.
Essential requirements:
- IWS/RLSS Pool Lifeguard Qualification (training will be provided)
- Excellent interpersonal, observational and communication skills
- Able to work in accordance with policies and procedures
- Candidates must successfully pass a swim test in order to progress to interview stage
