We are looking for candidates for the following position at our Breskens Business Support Centre:



Project Engineering Supervisor (1 fte)



The Project Engineering Supervisor ensures that the technical specifications provided by the shipyard or design office meet the owners’ specifications and proposes performance improvements in both design of new ships and operation of the existing fleet. This involves supporting the Newbuilding Superintendent executing different newbuilding projects with different ship types and requires you to liaise with the design offices, class societies and ship yard in order to ensure timely delivery of design packages and any variations. A large focus during the design is to consider energy efficient measures which can practically be applied to the existing fleet. Furthermore, you verify technical evaluations performed by other team members. The Performance and Engineering Team consists of two members and you report to the Group Newbuilding Manager.



To excel in this position you should have a Master in Naval Architecture and at least five years’ experience in a similar position. You have good knowledge and experience with project management, fuel efficiency, design and model testing. Experience with CFD / hull optimisation would be considered advantageous. Furthermore, you should have excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills in English.
