For our client we are looking for a project leader either for the track division or for the rail catenary division.
Purpose of the job:
- you are responsible for achieving the proposed annual turnover, within the budget, so that the proposed profitability (in%) is achieved, taking into account the legal provisions and restrictions imposed (safety, specifications, quality, deliver within the time limit, interference with other projects, ...)
- you are commercially responsible for the profitability of your project(s), throughout its term up to and including subsequent costing. You ensure sufficient customer satisfaction (= long-term customer loyalty).
content and main tasks
- you are the contact person for the government and you draw up a schedule to carry out the works as profitably as possible in close collaboration with all parties involved
- you create the project file and are responsible for the kick-off of the project
- you work closely with the person in charge of the engineering office to make sure that the preparation of the drawings & documents is done on time
- for your project(s) you are responsible for:
o estimation of the (number of FTE) personnel required + required qualifications
o search for possible subcontractors in case of insufficient capacity
o search and contact reliable suppliers in consultation with the purchase
o determination of the working method(s) together with the site manager
- you organize the kick-off together with the site manager.
- you draw up the safety and quality plan in consultation with the safety advisor and draft site files
- you provide a long-term planning, 2 weekly (and more) planning of material and people depending on the possibilities / requirements of the customer together with the person responsible for planning, the engineering office and the site manager.
- you ensure a correct, meticulous and timely payment and administration and make sure that all necessary information is requested and put correctly and up-to-date in the progress statement
- you carry out an accurate and timely invoice control of customers and suppliers and monitor costs and profit margin
- you take care of a precise subsequent calculation of the costing of the project, to get a better view of the real cost of the contract/construction
We Are Looking for:
- a technical diploma (minimal bachelor level)or equivalent due to experience
- sufficient technical expertise in the areas of activity entrusted to you
- a solid experience in project management
- fluent in English or French, notions of Dutch or German are a plus
- commercial attitude and budget management skills
- strong communication skills
- flexible and willing to learn and improve continuously
- willing and competent to work in a reporting structure (implementation, quality, safety, deployment of people and resources)
- independent, stress resistant and sense of responsibility
- familiar with standard MS office applications and ERP
- team player
- driving license type B
- certificate of good conduct
