Preschool Teachers
About the Job:
• Students in our schools are between 1 – 6
• You are responsible for the planning of lessons, implementation, documentation and evaluation of the routines following our municipality’s guidelines for our schools. Students from the 6th to the 9th grade (ages 12-16) have grades.
• Together with your colleagues, you create an environment where every student’s needs and interests are met, where a student feels safe and where you help the students to be a part of the school culture.
• As a teacher, you have the responsibility to create and offer a safe environment that encourages students to learn, to be creative and to be responsible. You find it natural to cooperate with parents, your colleagues and other staff focusing on the students’ best interests, both academically and socially. • In Ludvika, the students’ progress is carefully monitored and documented. We have follow ups to evaluate, develop and to enhance the quality of our schools.
Language education and development is one of our top-priorities.
Qualifications:
• You have a degree and a licence as a teacher in your country.
• You have a positive and a professional mind-set when you meet other people. You are a team player: cooperating is your second nature and you take the initiatives that are needed to do a good job. You find it important to create a calm and safe environment for your students.
• You can work alone as well as cooperate with your colleagues. Creating relationships with both students and adults is easy for you.

Mentorship and coaching towards a Swedish teaching licence, lang. uage training, help finding accommodation, skills development and a 1-year contract at a time.

During this visit you will get to know even more about your future job and working place, we will show you the surroundings, talk housing and of course discuss your individual needs.
We understand that candidates do not speak Swedish, this does not make any of you less eligible for the job. However we do appreciate it and it is in your advantage that you have started to learn Swedish at this point. (Possibility to apply for economic support for a language course through EURES Targeted Mobility Scheme).
In order to be able to land a permanent job as a preschool teacher, you need to have applied for and be granted a Swedish Teachers license. For this you need a high level of Swedish, which we think is not fair nor feasible at a short notice. That is why we want to hire you for one year at a time, even if you just begun studying the language. You will continue learning the Swedish language with our help, working in a Swedish organization, and being submerged in the Swedish language. When the time has come to apply for a license, we will support you with that.
NOTE: the salary mentioned is based on you not being in the possession of a Swedish Teaching license. The level of salary is individually established taking into concern education and experience.
Applicants should have EU citizenship or registered as a long term resident in one of the EU countries, and obtained their education in the EU.
